Biography
Signed to the Quality Control Music label since 2014, Atlanta-based producer OG Parker incorporates elements of smooth, melodic R&B and complex trap drum programming into his fluid, pop-friendly instrumentals. Parker worked with many of rap and R&B's big names, producing hits for Migos, Chris Brown, and Torey Lanez in addition to collaborating with Michigan rapper DDG on the 2021 mixtape Die 4 Respect.
OG Parker was born Joshua Isaih Parker in 1993, and had already learned how to play multiple instruments by age ten. After college, Parker relocated to Atlanta and began working with Quality Control Music. Some of his earliest production was for artists like YFN Lucci and K Camp, and he was soon making beats for hit singles from Migos, Torey Lanez, and Partynextdoor. His list of production credits grew to include a who's-who of rap superstars, and in addition to his work on individual tracks, Parker released collaborative mixtapes like his 2019 set Ultraviolet with fellow producer Chrishan, and 2021's Die 4 Respect, helmed by rapper DDG. ~ Fred Thomas, Rovi
