Biography
After learning from Paulinho Nogueira how to play guitar, Brazilian Toquinho met Chico Buarque at the age of 17, deciding to start a music career soon after. In the mid-'60s, the artist composed his first song, called Lua Cheia; in addition, he played guitar for prominent local acts such as Sergio Ricardo and Alaíde Acosta. In 1969, Toquinho began a long time professional relationship with Vinicius De Moraes. To celebrate his contribution to Brazilian traditional music, BMG released 30 Años De Música in 1997.
