Appearing in commercials, television shows, and movies since she was a child, Hayden Panettiere had parts in Ally McBeal, Remember the Titans, and Message in a Bottle, and was the voice of Dot in the animated film A Bug's Life before being cast as the role of Claire Bennet in the NBC series Heroes. Coincidentally, the increased exposure gave Panettiere the opportunity to pursue her musical interests (she had had songs included on various teen pop compilations), and, signed to Hollywood Records, she released the 2008 single Wake Up Call. Four years later, Panettiere combined singing and acting in the ABC-TV series Nashville, in which she played scheming country pop starlet Juliette Barnes; several of the songs she recorded for the show, including "Telescope" and "Love Like Mine," were released as singles. ~ Marisa Brown, Rovi
