Biography
Vocalist Dave Lacey put together his band the Corvettes in Stourbridge, near Birmingham, England, in the early '60s, with Wyn Jones on lead guitar, John Jauncey on bass, Roy Pinson on rhythm guitar, and Dave Little at the drums. They were popular locally and won a talent contest sponsored by a local newspaper, which probably helped them get a big break when Decca Records signed them in 1964. They got two songs onto the label's Brum Beat LP, and later signed with Philips, where they released a single of That's What They All Say b/w I've Had Enough in 1965. ~ Bruce Eder, Rovi
