Rally
Biography
Blending alternative rock choices with Brit-pop influenced features, Rally ultimately give out original and melodious compositions, featuring spacy melodies supported by silvery guitar strains. It was in 1994 that Rally assembled, in Glasgow, Scotland, with a lineup consisting of J.V. Dobbin (vocals, guitar), Alec Paterson (bass), and Stevie O'Leary (drums). Following a year of intense rehearsal sessions, Rally settled on entering the studio and ultimately recorded their first demo disc. After securing the distribution of the record to all of Scotland's major music centers, the band ended up receiving invitations to play at the country's top clubs. Rally's thrilling performances inevitably led them to gather a respectful fan base and considerable attention from the media. Long Way to Go showed up later as Rally's first full-length, earning the band even greater acclaim. ~ Mario Mesquita Borges, Rovi
