Biography
The Skifflers were a folk quartet who came together in the mid-'50s, consisting of Leon Bibb (credited on their records as Lee Charles), Libby Knight, Milt Okun, and Hally Wood. They recorded one album for Columbia Records on the label's Epic Records imprint, entitled Goin' Down to Town, which was later reissued in a shortened form as Hootenanny with the Skifflers. The group was still working into 1957 and 1958, and appeared on #The Today Show a couple of times, according to Hally Wood's daughter in a Web posting in 2004. They were able to get some work singing commercial jingles before breaking up later in the decade. ~ Bruce Eder, Rovi
