Born Pedro Henriques Lisboa Santos in Luanda, Angola, Pedro is the son of singer Lisboa Santos. He was raised primarily in Belgium, where he first performed as half of Brothers Lisboa Santos with his sibling, Lil Saint. C4 Pedro's debut album, Lágrimas, featuring Lil Saint, appeared in Belgium in 2008. He then moved back to Angola, where it was reissued before the end of the decade.
Thanks to the success of singles like "Pokémon & Picachu" featuring Ary and a title track featuring Angolan rapper Big Nelo, his popularity soared with his second album, 2011's Calor Frio. Calling themselves B4, he formed a duo with Big Nelo, and they issued the album Los Compadres in 2013. B4's Ao Vivo Lisboa followed in 2014. A year later, C4 Pedro delivered his third solo full-length, King Ckwa. It became the best-selling album of 2015 in Angola.
Stand-alone tracks including "Estragar" (featuring Agir), "Tá Pegar Fogo," and "Céu" followed in 2016, the same year that saw the release of albums he produced for Sutak and Nadine Pereira. After collaborations with the likes of Sauti Soul and Stonebwoy, he returned in 2019 with his fourth album, The Gentleman. ~ Marcy Donelson, Rovi
