Biography
Formed in 1982, Do Re Mi exploded onto the Australian music scene in 1985 with their single Man Overboard. In 1988, after two albums and several hit singles, the group disbanded. Following the demise of Do Re Mi, lead singer Deborah Conway embarked on a successful solo career.

Releasing her debut solo album in 1991, Conway immediately gained herself some attention as a solo singer. String of Pearls was an album that ranged from acoustic pop to rock and generated three hit singles: It's Only the Beginning, Release Me and Under My Skin.

Returning in 1993, Conway released Bitch Epic. This was a more rock album than its predecessor and produced two singles (Alive and Brilliant and Today I'm a Daisy) but was not as popular as String of Pearls.

Ultrasound appeared in 1995. More of a group effort, half the album was instrumental pieces and had an experimental feel to it. Perhaps because of this it was not well received and sold poorly.

Conway's third solo album proper My Third Husband was released in 1997 to poor reviews. Featuring samples and loops reminiscent of Portishead the album was accused of being derivative and as a result did not perform well. It did, however, produce one minor single in Only the Bones (Will Show) ~ Jonathan Lewis, Rovi
