Stephanie Brigitte Krawiec, aka Stephanie K, is a soulful singer/songwriter whose exuberant sound mixes rock and dance-oriented electronic pop. Raised in the Detroit area, K began performing at a young age, spending much of her youth balancing her interests in pop music and musical theater. By 2005 she had already amassed a following online and recorded her debut album, Intrigue. She befriended Grammy Award-winning producer Michael J. Powell (Aretha Franklin, Anita Baker, Patti LaBelle) while she was attending the University of Michigan, and began writing songs with him. In 2017 she delivered the Troublemaker EP on the Woodward Avenue label; the EP included the single "Tonight" as well as the song "Trouble," which helped K win Female Artist of the Year at the Los Angeles Music Awards. ~ Matt Collar, Rovi
