Biography
A multi-talented actor, musician, author, and co-founder of Washington-based indie rockers Enation, Jonathan Jackson was born in Orlando, Florida to an amateur ventriloquist and businesswoman mother, and a physician, country music singer, and congressional candidate father. Raised in Battle Ground, Washington with his siblings Candice and Richard Lee Jackson, the latter of whom is also an actor and musician, Jackson began his acting career while still in high school, becoming a regular on the popular daytime soap opera General Hospital. He went on to take home five Emmy Awards for the role, and later appeared in the 2002 romantic drama film Tuck Everlasting. That same year he formed the anthemic pop band Enation with his brother Richard and longtime friends Daniel Sweatt, Luke Galeotti, and Michael Galeotti. Enation would go on to release a slew of well-received albums before Jackson, their frontman, landed a recurring role on the popular ABC musical drama Nashville in 2012. In 2014, Enation, which was now operating as a trio under the moniker Jonathan Jackson + Enation, released Radio Cinematic via Loud-N-Proud Records. The Blame-Shifter EP followed in 2016 on the MRI label. ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi
