Biography
Mature, pop-oriented R&B is the primary mode of Reginald Lamar Williams, Jr., a Nashville, Tennessee-based native of Florida who goes by R.LUM.R. Equipped with a vocal range that includes a legitimate and judiciously deployed falsetto, Williams made strides in 2015 with "Show Me" and "Be Honest," atmospheric yet rhythmic ballads he self-released as singles. Additional tracks followed in 2016, including the similarly moody "Nothing New," released on the Doghouse label. Later that year, through PRMD, Williams issued "Frustrated," easily his most popular song to that point. It was trailed in early 2017 by "Love Less," also supported by PRMD. A handful of these early singles landed on his debut EP, 2017's AFTERIMAGE. A year later, a remixed version of the set, ALTERIMAGE, was issued. In addition, he released the single "Right Here" b/w "I Need to Know." 2019 saw the release of emotive singles "I'm Alright," "How This Feels," and "Boys Should Never Cry." ~ Andy Kellman, Rovi
