Biography
Although he is much better known for his radio stints as a soul music disc jockey and also an announcer on the "Soul Train" program, Sid McCoy was the principal jazz producer for Vee Jay. He produced dates by Wayne Shorter, Wynton Kelly, Lee Morgan, Eddie Harris and others on Vee Jay from the late '50s to the early '60s. ~ Ron Wynn, Rovi
