Biography
Although Dolphin Naggo Morris is probably best remembered as the man who replaced singer and bassist Leroy Sibbles in the Heptones in 1977, he also recorded several striking singles on his own, including the classic Su Su Pon Rasta (produced by the Mighty Two, Errol Thompson, and Joe Gibbs) in 1975 and the Bunny Lee-produced Flour Power, as well as several 12" releases for Lloyd Bullwackie Barnes' Bronx-based Wackies label. Morris' passionate baritone is always in evidence on whatever material he tackles, and he is one of the most woefully overlooked (and under-recorded) roots singers in Jamaica. ~ Steve Leggett, Rovi
