Biography
Germany's Aloa Input are an indie pop trio with a focus on melodic harmonies and rhythmically punchy, vaguely psychedelic songs. Formed in 2012 in Munich, the group represents the vanguard of the New Weird Bavaria scene encompassing a myriad of young neo-Kraut, indie folk, and similarly like-minded artists hailing from that region. Aloa Input bandmates Cico Beck, Florian Kreier, and Marcus Grassl originally released their first single, "Prblms," online before being signed to Berlin indie Morr Music in 2013. The group's debut LP, Anysome, was released by Morr in late 2013 as Aloa Input expanded their touring circuit outside of their native Germany and into other European markets. In 2015, they returned with their sophomore album, Mars Etc., which found them once again balancing their experimental psych-pop inclinations with adept melodic sensibilities. ~ Timothy Monger, Rovi
