Aaron Robinson
from Nashville, TN
Biography
Before launching his solo career with 2007's We Are Racing Ghosts, singer/songwriter Aaron Robinson (not to be confused with the similarly named baseball player from the mid-20th century) was a fixture in the Nashville scene, serving as frontman for the Imaginary Baseball League from 2001 to 2005. The band canvassed the East Coast while releasing two EPs and one full-length album; following the group's disbandment, Robinson maintained a local following with the Young Professionals. When that band split in 2007, he opted to take the reins himself. Teaming up with producer Neilson Hubbard, he entered Mr. Lemons Studio in May to begin recording his first solo disc. We Are Racing Ghosts collected both new and old songs, and Robinson supported its 2007 release with a performance at the following year's South by Southwest festival. ~ Andrew Leahey, Rovi
