Psych/acid rock band Wildest Dreams, led by Harvey W. Bassett (aka veteran dance music figure DJ Harvey), featured three members of Los Angeles-based soul/funk revivalists Orgone: keyboardist Dan Hastie, bassist Ethan Phillips, and guitarist Sergio Rios. Bassett played drums and guitar, sang, and wrote all the material. Over the course of a week, the band recorded a Bassett-produced album released a couple years later, in 2014, on the Smalltown Supersound label. Self-titled and scuzzier than Bassett's other rock-fantasy outlet Map of Africa, it featured artwork from Sasha Tessio that referenced Randy California's 1972 solo debut album Kapt.
