Biography
West Coast duo 99 Percent specialize in party-sized club tracks that often incorporate hip-hop choreographed dances. Hailing from Vallejo, California, Cameron Camo Schaver and Johnnie Jay B Jacob, Jr. met in middle school and started working together in 2009. They kicked off a dance craze in 2013 with their single "Yike in It." That track and another viral hit, "Double Dip," would find their way onto 2014's Yike in It EP, which also featured Sage the Gemini and Problem on the song "Let Her Go." The following year, 99 Percent released "Does Ya Mama Know (Dance Like That)," which featured a more pop-oriented sound. In 2016, the pair joined the Let's Dance tour along with Silentó and iLoveMemphis, a trek that coincided with their big bass electro anthem "Till Ya Legs Hurt." In 2017, they scored their first Hot 100 hit with the Flo Rida collaboration "Cake," which was included on the This Is a Challenge compilation. ~ Neil Z. Yeung, Rovi
