Biography
Banned from numerous concert venues at the beginning of their career due to manic performances, Philadelphia natives Clockcleaner showed pride in their reputation and hit the scene hard, hell-bent on resuscitating punk rock's original spirit of trashy adventure. Sharing more musically with noise rock and goth, spattered with tinges of psychobilly, vocalist/guitarist John Sharkey, bassist R. Slegel, and drummer Richard Charles dipped deep into their songwriting cauldron to brew their 2004 debut EP, The Hassler, for Manic Ride Records. Soon after, Slegal was replaced by Karen Horner on the bass, and Load Records picked up the group to record their very creepy full-length Babylon Rules, released in September 2007. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia and Jason Lymangrover, Rovi
