Chopstars are the preeminent collective dedicated to preserving the legacy of DJ Screw's chopped and screwed remix technique. Led since their early-2000s inception by Swishahouse co-founder and DJ OG Ron C, the group has contained over a dozen fellow DJs and turntablists, including fellow Houston, Texas natives such as DJ Lil Steve, DJ Hollygrove, and DJ Candlestick. Youngster DJ Baby Chino, Russian DJ D.A., and Odd Future's Mike G have also been among the associates. Entire albums by the likes of Chamillionaire, Drake, Rick Ross, and 2 Chainz have been remixed by the crew, as have releases by artists afield of rap, including Frank Ocean, Little Dragon, and Thundercat.
