Having been described as an American version of the Pogues with dental health, the Sissies imported a sound of traditional Irish folk to the Midwestern scene of Lincoln, NE. Accompanied by a heavier touch of straight forward rock, the lineup of Randy Krause (drums), Chris Gordon (violin), Alan Weber (guitar), Brian McCue (bass), and Brian Johnson (vocals/guitar) captured this mixture through the Ismist Records debut of Songs From the Sack.
