Biography
Having been described as an American version of the Pogues with dental health, the Sissies imported a sound of traditional Irish folk to the Midwestern scene of Lincoln, NE. Accompanied by a heavier touch of straight forward rock, the lineup of Randy Krause (drums), Chris Gordon (violin), Alan Weber (guitar), Brian McCue (bass), and Brian Johnson (vocals/guitar) captured this mixture through the Ismist Records debut of Songs From the Sack. But shortly following its 1995 release, Chris Cordon eventually departed while half of the Sissies moved on to form the Self-Righteous Brothers. ~ Mike DaRonco, Rovi
