Liberation is an electro-pop project from Australian musician David West. Known for his work throughout many genres, some of West's more prominent ventures have included indie pop band Rat Columns, punk group Burning Sensation, and post-punk outfit Rank/Xerox. He was also a member of the widely heralded synth punk band Total Control. Recorded in Melbourne and partly inspired by Mute Records' electro heyday, his self-titled debut as Liberation is a sensual affair of minimalist beats and dark synth-pop pastiches.
