The former drummer of beloved New York indie rock act the Occasion, Charles Burst switched to a more upfront role after that band's break up, taking on piano and songwriting duties in a band that shared his name. While not too far removed from his former band's sound, Charles Burst and band were a more melodic outfit, taking the familiar sounds of psych rock to new and varying levels. Burst and company released their first CD Come Home and Feast in June of 2008. Rounding out the band was Patrick McCarthy on guitar, Jim D'Amico on bass, and drummer Jason Labbe. ~ Chris True, Rovi
