Biography
Detroit cowpunks Goober the Peas were a mainstay on the concert scene in the area for years. Beginning the late '80s, they featured a traditional country base that took on an evil side that reminded many of a cheerier Gun Club. The band survived for a long time, even losing some of the novelty vibe that haunted them since their incarnation. But by the mid-'90s, enough members had left the band that they simply did not survive past their second independently released album, Jet-Age Genius of Goober the Peas. ~ Bradley Torreano, Rovi
