Fernando Grillo
Biography
Fernando Grillo was called -- at least, according to liner notes by Ana Maria Avram -- "the Buddha of the contrabass" by Karlheinz Stockhausen. Avant-garde figures Luciano Berio, Luigi Non, Klaus Huber, Iancu Dumitrescu, Henri Pousseur, and Iannis Xenaxis all composed pieces for him.
