Born and raised in Scotland, Leonard-Morgan grew up in a musical house playing piano and violin; he went on to study at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, earning a degree in music. Starting out in television and short films, Leonard-Morgan earned a BAFTA for his score to the 2000 short Pineapple. With the industry taking note, it wasn't long before he had been picked to score the British dramas Fallen and Spooks. With the success of both programs, he went on to compose for Neil Burger's Limitless in 2011 and Pete Travis' 2012 movie Dredd. Over the next few years, Leonard-Morgan provided the soundtracks to numerous television shows, including Wormwood, The Crews, Murder, and The Grand Tour. 2019 saw him composing for the Kiefer Sutherland-starring Designated Survivor, and he teamed up with Philip Glass to work on the soundtrack for the sci-fi series Tales from the Loop the following year. ~ Rich Wilson, Rovi
