Biography
Ron Carroll is probably most recognized for his vocals on traditional Chicago house tracks rather than his DJing. Carroll has been around since the early days of the Chicago house sound, DJing and singing alongside recognized names such as Frankie Knuckles, Kim English, and Crystal Waters. In 1994, Carroll's big chance came when he was asked by Little Louie Vega to write a song for house diva vocalist Barbara Tucker. The track was the Billboard Dance Chart topper I Get Lifted and was followed by a couple successful singles in the years to follow. In early 2001, Carroll flexed his DJ skills with the mix CD Sessions, Vol. 3 and sang vocals on a track for Superfunk, a European disco-funk production act. ~ Diana Potts, Rovi
