Biography
A project launched in 2003 by producer and DJ Chris Alfaro, Free the Robots is sample-heavy, left-field hip-hop act in the spirit of Flying Lotus and Daedelus. The project made its debut in 2005 with the self-released LP Prototype, and Alpha Pup Records released his sophomore album, Ctrl Alt Del, in 2010. Alfaro then returned to his own name, working with acts like Busdriver and Glitch Mob, and Free the Robots returned with the 2013 album The Balance. In 2015, he teamed with Hieroglyphics and Souls of Mischief MC Opio for the album Sempervirens. ~ David Jeffries, Rovi
