Pride of Lions
Biography
Pride of Lions is the brainchild of Jim Peterik, the singer/songwriter who got his start in the Ides of March but is best known for the classic rock hits he penned for .38 Special and Survivor. Formed in 2003 with vocalist Toby Hitchcock, Pride of Lions brings this anthemic sound into the 21st century.
Peterik and Hitchcock met when the vocalist approached the guitarist/singer after an Ides of March concert in the singer's hometown of Valparaiso, Indiana. Peterik was in the process of starting Pride of Lions and soon realized Hitchcock would be a good match.
The group released their eponymous debut in 2003, which was succeeded quickly by the EP Sound of Home later that year. The full-length The Destiny Stone followed in 2004. A concert album, Live in Belgium, showed up in 2006, succeeded by the studio album The Roaring of Dreams in 2007. Immortal appeared in 2012, with Fearless following five years later in 2017. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, Rovi
