The instrumental hip-hop duo of DJ Peter Parker and bassist Sneaky started performing as Fingathing in 1999. Peter Parker was a bedroom DJ discovered by Mark Rae of trip-hoppers Rae Christian at a DMC competition in 1997; Sneaky -- a classically trained bassist -- was working in a popular Manchester club when the pair met. Their first full-length, Main Event, was issued in 2000 on Rae's Grand Central label.
