Biography
Just when it seemed that Mick Collins couldn't possibly be involved in one more band, along came the King Sound Quartet. Joining with the semi-legendary Tim Kerr (Big Boys, Poison 13, Lord High Fixers, and Monkeywrench), Alex Cuervo (who he'd done time with in the unfortunately short-lived Blacktop), and Stephanie Friedman (Lord High Fixers, Sugar Shack), King Sound took a noisier and more avant-garde approach to Collins' trademark garage punk sound.

After releasing a 7" single for Estrus and one album in 1997, The Get Down Imperative, the band disintegrated in early 2000 when they entered the studio to record their follow-up effort. Collins left the band and Matt Verta Ray of Speedball Baby and Lisa Kekaula of the BellRays came in to finish the session, which resulted in the rechristening of King Sound Quartet as the Now Time Delegation and their album Watch for Today. ~ Alex Zorn, Rovi
