Biography
The heavy, outlaw-influenced sound of Dave Gleason has its origin in classic Nashville counterculture, where anti-war singer/songwriters like Willie Nelson used country to deliver their political agendas. Gleason was actually the third generation in his family to pick up the guitar and play the San Francisco area. His grandfather played for fun, while his father had been active in several country rock outfits. Influenced by this family tradition as well as the emerging hard rock scene, Gleason had a twisted view of the genre and allowed the combination of styles to blend in his own writing. The results, Wasted Glory, were released in 2002. ~ Bradley Torreano, Rovi
