Biography
Known chiefly as a trap producer for the booming beats he has supplied for numerous rap and R&B artists from the Southern U.S., Joshua Cross, aka Cassius Jay, is from Georgia himself, specifically Decatur. The son of a bishop, he came up in the church, an environment that enabled him to develop his talent as a keyboardist and eventually as a music director. After a period during which he toured extensively with the-Dream as keyboardist and music director, Cross ventured into production, mentored by Don Vito and eventually supported by Zaytoven, the latter of whom also became a close studio collaborator.

Cross' first major credit was as co-producer of Justin Bieber's "Fa La La," featuring Boyz II Men. Following subsequent work with Lloyd ("All of Me") and August Alsina (highlighted by "Right There"), Cross landed tracks on Future's number one album DS2, Jeezy's Top Five hit Church in These Streets, and Migos' chart-topping C U L T U R E. All the while, Cross put forth a number of his own recordings, including All Eyes on Me (2015), Prince of Trap (2016), and Cold Summer (2016), all of which took advantage of his growing connections list by involving many of the artists he had previously supported behind the scenes. Cross has remained involved with his church and directs his daughters' gospel singing group. ~ Andy Kellman, Rovi
