Biography
Robbie Gillman was born and raised in New York in the late '40s. Gillman moved to Hollywood, CA, in the early '70s, determined to make his mark as a composer. He was hired by Juice Newton Silver Spur as keyboardist for their 1975 national tour, which gave Gillman a great start. Upon completion of the tour, the band went to work on their second album, After the Dust Settles, and Gillman played piano, synthesizer, and wrote one of the songs on the record. He remained with the group for two more years as a sideman and performed on their third album, Come to Me, collaborating on the title song and a couple of others. After that album, Juice Newton elected to dissolve the band in late 1977 and pursue a solo career. ~ Tom Kealey, Rovi
