Mr. Gone
from Leicester, England
Biography
Mr. Gone is the brainchild of British funk musician Simon T. Bramley, a Leicester native who has been playing for years with various jazz and funk groups. In 1996, Mr. Gone became his studio project mixing acid jazz and jungle as well as other similar genres. After enjoying good press over his debut, he continued to work with other groups in a live setting, only occasionally working on material for Mr. Gone. Still, releases in 1999 and 2000 helped gain a stronger hold in the underground, eventually leading to 2002's European success Fresh Out of the Box. ~ Bradley Torreano, Rovi
