A brief member of Irish rockers Them, drummer John Stark played on the group's final album, 1971's Them in Reality. Stark was also a member of the '60s Amarillo, TX-based folk beat group, the Kitchen Cinq, appearing on the group's lone album, Everything but...the Kitchen Cinq, and co-penning a pair of tracks ("Determination" and "Please Come Back"). Subsequently, Stark has supplied a backbeat for such renowned artists as Sonny and Cher, Ike Tina Turner, Sam Dave, the Isley Brothers, Bill Medley, Ry Cooder, and Jack Nitzsche, among others. ~ Greg Prato, Rovi
