Former teacher Keren Meloul became Rose (a nickname chosen after Janis Joplin's biopic) when she decided to step into the music business in the first half of the 2000s. Her first self-titled album was released in 2006. Three years later, Rose released her sophomore album, 2009's Les Souvenirs Sous Ma Frange, opting for a more experimental approach than that of her chart-friendly debut.
