With a terse, powerful sound and soulful manner, it seemed that Bert Robinson was going to become a force to be reckoned with in urban contemporary circles. His debut LP, No More Cold Nights, included the stunning single Heart of Gold, which reached number five on the RB chart. Robinson had previously done a duet with Peggie Blu, All the Way With You.
