Nanna Øland Fabricius
Biography
Oh Land is the moniker of Nanna Fabricius, an electro-pop singer from Denmark who made her full-length album debut with Fauna in 2008. Born Nanna Øland Fabricius and primarily influenced by Björk, she hails from Copenhagen, Denmark, and was a ballet dancer prior to becoming a recording artist. In association with Fake Diamond Records, Fabricius made her commercial recording debut as Oh Land with Audition Day, the lead single from Fauna. The critically acclaimed album spawned a second single, Heavy Eyes, which was released on EP in 2009 with a bunch of remixes. That same year, Oh Land performed at the South by Southwest music festival in Austin, TX. Her performance there led to a major-label recording contract with Epic Records.
