Sepehr Alimagham first began to DJ as a teenager, regularly spinning at Bay Area venues by the beginning of the 2010s. He released a few tech-house tracks and remixes, and continued to DJ at home and abroad, then began performing live sets in 2017, the same year his first vinyl release, Step One, appeared on Black Catalogue. In 2018, he released a split EP with Justin Peoples as part of Legwork's Footage Series, and his EP Body Mechanics appeared on Dark Entries. Further venturing into trippy electro, Cybernetic was released by U.K. label EON in 2019, while Fury's Edge, a digital EP on Spe:c, flirted with drum'n'bass and post-dubstep. Shaytoon, a full-length inspired by the '70s Iranian albums Sepehr regularly heard as a youth, arrived on Dark Entries in 2020. ~ Paul Simpson, Rovi
