Biography
Armed with an 80's electronic gear that includes a Juno 60, Moog Opus 3, Korg Mono/Poly, and a Yamaha Polyphonic, San Francisco's The Calculators reflect upon the days of 80's new wave in comparison to Devo, Joy Division and Kraftwork -without the bad haircuts. With the addition of guitars, drums and robotic vocals that complete their sound, The Calculators self-released their first album Circut Breaking Silence in 1998. Detroit's Spectator Records took a shine to their sound and followed with the release of Simplicity and Style EP the next year. ~ Mike DaRonco, Rovi
