Originally from London, Lysa Aya Trenier started singing as a youngster, and in her late teens moved to New York to pursue music. Early in her career, she collaborated with numerous artists, from Itaal Shur and Lenny Kravitz to Mark Ronson and Sweetback. It was also during this period that she linked with producer Jay Denes and consequently became part of the Naked Music roster, culminating with the 2004 release of Strange Flower, her first solo album.
While Aya continued to work with Denes over the next decade -- she was featured prominently on Signs and Wonders, Denes' 2014 album as Blue Six -- she became deeply involved with the healing arts. This included the production of wellness music. In 2020, Aya released the EP-length Deep Relaxation: Guided Meditation and an album, Soundbath Love, both on her Inner Peace Studio label (with a U.K. licensing deal through Platoon). Additionally, she and multi-instrumentalist Tyler Sussman began releasing instrumental ambient material under the name Stardust Dreams. ~ Andy Kellman, Rovi
