Born and raised in Birmingham, England, musician Mitch (full name Kwame Giwa) began his rap career in 2016, getting local buzz from singles like "Money Mitch" and "Pagans." A member of Newtown's Get Money Gang, the rapper soon built a reputation for his rugged vocals and brutal lyricism, releasing collaborations with Fredo and K Lizzy while avoiding ongoing legal issues. His debut mixtape, Mitchtape, was released while the rapper was incarcerated, and featured collaborations with Jordaine, Stardom, and DB the Singer. After serving his sentence, the rapper celebrated his release with 2018's "Fresh Home," before embarking on an ambitious single run through 2019 and 2020. As well as offering fan favorite singles with "Money Mitch 2" and "New Drip," Giwa rebuilt his audience across prominent freestyle platforms, including Mixtape Madness' Mad About Bars and GRM Daily's Daily Duppy. His sophomore mixtape, Deal or No Deal, saw release in 2020: tackling a variety of styles from trap to traditional hip-hop, the rapper's second set offered a varied portfolio of his musical talents. ~ David Crone, Rovi
