Born in 1989 in Great Yarmouth, England and raised in Aberdeen, Scotland, Goldspink got his start as part of the S Club 7 spinoff group S Club Juniors. Managed by pop impresario Simon Fuller, the group supported S Club 7 on tour and debuted with 2002's Together. Buoyed by the singles "One Step Closer" and "Automatic High," the album reached number five on the U.K. albums chart. Following a name change to S Club 8, they released Sundown, which peaked at number 13 and placed two of the album's singles in the Top Ten. Acting opportunities followed for Goldspink, including appearances alongside his bandmates in the Fuller-created series I Dream (which also featured an accompanying spin-off album, Welcome to Avalon Heights). After the group's split in 2004, Goldspink pursued more acting work, appearing in the 2007 drama series Life is Wild and playing James Middleton in the 2011 film William and Kate.
He eventually relocated to Los Angeles, where in 2014 he made his solo debut with the Lemon Tree EP. Recorded with producer Rob Torres, it showcased a more sophisticated, adult-alternative pop sound. He also moved into talent booking and launched the production company A Mighty Lamb. ~ Matt Collar, Rovi
