Biography
Thom Schuyler, J. Fred Knobloch and Craig Bickhardt were three prominent Nashville songwriters who briefly got together to form a rather eclectic band that played a blend of country, folk and pop. Originally formed in 1986 as Schuyler, Knobloch Overstreet (with songwriter Paul Overstreet), the trio signed with MTM Records. Their debut single, "You Can't Stop Love," made it to the country Top Ten and remained on the charts over six months. After a change of name to the more manageable S-K-O in 1987, Overstreet left the band to pursue his own songwriting career, and Craig Bickhardt replaced him. The title track of S-K-B's No Easy Horses hit the Top 20, and the trio's next cut, "This Old House," made it to the Top 25. When MTM folded, they found themselves without a contract and disbanded soon after. Schuyler has since become the Vice President of RCA's country division, while Knobloch and Bickhardt have continued to write excellent songs. ~ Sandra Brennan, Rovi
