Biography
The New Orleans Owls, an excellent if now obscure band, recorded 18 spirited sides during 1925-1927. Although none of its sidemen (other than Nappy Lamare andEddie Miller) became famous, the spirited ensemble effectively bridged the gap between the New Orleans Rhythm Kings and late-'20s dance bands.
