Hailing from Frankfurt, Germany, Lauer started experimenting with electronic production in his teens. It was under the Plenty Ammo moniker that he made his debut, releasing several cassette-only albums on the In Between and Real Soon labels, as well as spinning at the storied Robert Johnson club. More tracks followed on Separe Recordings and Punkt Music. He also issued remixes and collaborated as the duo Arto Mwambe with CB Funk. In 2006, he founded his own Brontosaurus label. In 2012, released his debut full-length, Phillips, on Running Back.
A second album, the moody, synth-heavy Borndom, arrived in 2015 on Permanent Vacation and featured contributions by singers Jasnau and Ela. Three years later, he returned to Running Back for Power. Also around this time, he launched the duo Tuff City Kids with Gerd Janson. Answers 2 Trouble, arrived in 2021 on Permanent Vacation and featured guest vocals by Fabrizio Mammarella, Dena, and Jasnau. In 2022, he again paired with singer Dena for Cyclone Days. ~ Matt Collar, Rovi
