				Biography

Miami soul singer/composer Paul Kelly was a consistent '70s RB artist whose songs distinguished the repertoire of many southern soul singers. After recording for Buddy Killen's Dial label in 1965, Kelly debuted on the RB charts with Stealing in the Name of the Lord in 1970 for Happy Tiger Records. Killen produced some of Kelly's subsequent output for Warners Brothers in Nashville, including the grinding Don't Burn Me in 1973. Kelly's compositions graced a number of albums, including the 1991 Holmes Brothers encore album for Rounder, Where It's At. ~ Bill Dahl, Rovi
