Canadian singer Edwin grew up in Toronto and was a founding member of I Mother Earth in 1990. He stayed with the group seven years, participating on its two albums, Dig (1993) and Scenery Fish (1996), also serving as vocalist on Rush member Alex Lifeson's solo album, Victor (1996). In September 1997, he announced his departure from I Mother Earth. He signed to Sony Music Canada and recorded his debut solo album, Another Spin Around the Sun, which was released in Canada April 27, 1999. It was a considerable success, spawning four singles.
