Biography
The indie pop trio Buck was led by singer/bassist Lisa Marr, the onetime frontwoman for the influential cuddlecore group Cub; following that band's 1997 demise, Marr relocated from her native Vancouver to Los Angeles, home of her husband, Muffs bassist Ronnie Barnett. There she reunited with former Cub drummer Lisa G., and with the addition of guitarist Pepper Berry, Buck's line-up was complete; upon signing with Sympathy for the Record Industry, the trio recorded their self-titled debut LP, issued in late 1998. Less than a week before the album was released, Lisa G. left Buck to return to Canada; former Longstocking drummer Sherri Solinger was soon tapped as her replacement. ~ Jason Ankeny, Rovi
