Future Polmo Polpo producer Sandro Perri collaborated with the late Todd Fox for a brief stint in 1999 and subsequently released the music as Dot Wiggin. The two met at Toronto record store Penguin Music, where Fox worked and Perri, a one-time jazz student, shopped. Following an inspiring conversation about the yearning quality of mid-'70s rock bands T. Rex and the Rolling Stones, the duo began producing tracks with a Moog, guitar, drum machine, and Echoplex. Fox's tragic drowning incident in August 1999 unfortunately cut the collaboration short.
